“Arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say.”
- Edward Snowden
A few years ago, I started to become more invested in the privacy of myself and my family. It seemed like every week there was a new breach with a different company, with all sorts of personal information now floating out in cyberspace for the highest bidder or anyone with the right toolkit to snag right up and abuse.
Then, I learned that my info being sold to the highest bidder was actually common practice, with nearly every company I was involved with did it, but in the name of "advertising to best suit your personal needs" or "to improve our product and analytics."
I started to make adjustments in my day to day life to distance myself from companies that just viewed me as a dollar sign and started to try and spread the word to friends and family that'd hear it.
Well, what better way to spread the message than to start a podcast on the subject.
So that's exactly what I did.
I hope you all enjoy the show as much as I do making it.
